Crystal is a freelance writer and editor, with a specialty in working on pieces about relationships, health, and travel.

After she graduated with a bachelors in journalism and psychology from Northwestern University, she worked as an associate editor at Insider for over two years. During her time at the digital publication, she worked on various lifestyle and entertainment beats, such as travel, food, health, television, and film. Her small team consistently brought in about 20 percent of the global site’s overall pageviews.

Honing in on her experience with audience engagement, she now works in brand marketing, growing the online identity of a major film production company.

Crystal is also a screenwriter and novelist, who primarily writes romantic comedies and fantasy. In her free time, you can likely find her curled up with the latest Emily Henry release or playing Dungeons and Dragons.
